A 12-week journey through the beauty of nature, offered in three seasonal 4-week series. Note: This page is for Thursday mornings, 10am-12pm at the Studio through January 2026. Whether you’re new to watercolour or rediscovering your creative spark, this course is designed to ground, nurture, and inspire you during the rainiest and darkest months of the year. In my cozy Salt Spring Island studio, surrounded by plants, warm lighting, and the comfort of a hot beverage, we’ll gather weekly to explore nature’s wonders through watercolour. Using richly pigmented Daniel Smith paints crafted with earth elements like gemstones we’ll connect with the natural world in a meaningful, tactile way. We’ll explore the glow of sunsets, the quiet of a fresh snowy morning, the shimmer of water, and the magic of skies, each week focusing on one theme and skill set to build your confidence. You’ll learn to: Mix colours that sing and capture light, mood, and season Create depth, movement, and atmosphere with simple, repeatable techniques Paint with confidence, even as a beginner Let go of perfection and enjoy the flow of creating This is for you if: You’ve always wanted to try painting but didn’t know where to start You’re craving a creative outlet and a break from daily routines You’d love to slow down and see your surroundings with fresh eyes You enjoy learning in a relaxed group with like-minded people Bring a friend, or come and meet new ones.
