Service Description
Join us at Ocean Art Studio as we journey through the beauty of nature in this weekly series through April. Whether you’re a beginner new to watercolour or rediscovering your creative spark, this course is designed to ground, nurture, and inspire you during the rainiest months of the year. In my cozy Salt Spring Island studio, surrounded by plants, warm lighting, and the comfort of a hot beverage, we’ll gather weekly to explore nature’s wonders through watercolour. Using richly pigmented Daniel Smith paints crafted with earth elements like gemstones we’ll connect with the natural world in a meaningful, tactile way. We’ll explore the glow of sunsets, the shimmer of water, and the magic of skies, each week focusing on one theme and skill set to build your confidence. You’ll learn to: Mix colours that sing and capture light, mood, and season Create depth, movement, and atmosphere with simple, repeatable techniques Paint with confidence, even as a beginner Let go of perfection and enjoy the flow of creating This is for you if: You’ve always wanted to try painting but didn’t know where to start You’re craving a creative outlet and a break from daily routines You’d love to slow down and see your surroundings with fresh eyes You enjoy learning in a relaxed group with like-minded people DATES & THEMES Series 1- February 2026 Feb 4/5. TBA Note: If the classes fill up, reach out to get on the wait list to fill cancellations that may open up spots. Classes are designed so you can jump in at any point and feel supported. CLASS TIMES Wednesday mornings: 10am–12pm Wednesday evenings: 6pm–8pm Thursday mornings: 10am–12pm PRICING Individual classes: $88 per class Spots are limited, but the connection and laughter are free-flowing. Cancellation Policy
Art Lessons, Classes, Workshops & Camps To reschedule a private lesson, please provide at least 48 hrs notice. For cancellations of private lessons, group classes, workshops, or art camps, refunds are conditional upon the spot being filled by another participant. Any refund issued may be subject to advertising or administrative costs incurred in filling the space. If the spot cannot be filled, a refund cannot be provided, as the reserved space represents a lost opportunity for another participant to register. Participants are welcome to find a suitable replacement to take their spot, subject to approval. In extenuating circumstances, a one-time credit toward a future creative experience may be considered at the discretion of Ocean Art Studio. No-shows are considered time and space reserved and are not eligible for refund or credit.
