For so many of us, our pets are family. Sometimes they’re even our soulmates.
 
A Pet Essence Portrait is more than a traditional pet portrait. It is an original oil painting created to capture your pet’s personality, presence, expression and the feeling of who they are.
 
I work from your photographs while also tuning into the little things that make them uniquely themselves. My intention is not simply to paint a likeness, but to create something that feels like them.
 
For those grieving the loss of a beloved animal, a portrait can help soften the grieving process. It gives that love a place of honour to land, while keeping their presence, personality and memories alive in your home.
 
The process
 
We begin with a conversation after you complete the deposit. You’ll share photographs, stories and anything you would love me to know about your pet.
 
From there, I begin creating your original oil portrait, working closely with the images and the essence of your pet throughout the painting process. I may consult along the way to ensure certain details are accurate.
 
When your portrait is complete, you’ll have an original piece of art created specifically for you and the animal you love.
 
Investment: $3,888 CAD
 
A deposit of $2,000 reserves your commission. The remaining balance is due when your portrait is complete and you're happy with it.
 
I am currently accepting two October commissions, with completion expected by the end of October. Additional commissions will be booked in the order deposits are received.
