Service Description

This fun and inspiring 2-day workshop is designed for teens aged 13–18 who want to explore creative journalling using watercolour, drawing, and ink. Learn to capture everyday moments or outdoor adventures while building skills in observation, composition, and expressive mark-making. We’ll start in the studio to learn core techniques and create a visual journal page, then head to the beach for a relaxing outdoor session by the sea, painting to the rhythm and sounds of nature. No experience necessary. All supplies provided. Limited to 6 participants. Workshop Schedule: Day 1 – Saturday, May 17 (1–5 PM) Location: Ocean Art Studio, Merchants’ Mews Intro to watercolour journalling, observational sketching, and creative layouts. Hands-on demos and individual guidance to get started. Day 2 – Sunday, May 18 (1–5 PM) Location: Beddis Beach (weather permitting) Create "en plein air" as we journal what we see, hear, and feel at the beach during low tide. Guided support to add personal touches and develop your own unique style. What’s Included: ✔ All art materials: portable watercolour kits, watercolour paper, art pens, pencils, and brushes ✔ Sturdy surfaces and portable boards for journalling outdoors ✔ A supportive and fun creative environment ✔ Optional: purchase your own curated watercolour journal kit (pre-order available) Who it’s for: · Creative or curious teens aged 13–18 · Beginners welcome—no drawing or painting experience needed · Great for art lovers, writers, visual thinkers, and anyone who enjoys time in nature Spots are limited! Cancellation Policy

Art Lessons & Classes: To reschedule a private lesson, please contact Daina with at least 24 hours notice. For cancellations with regards to a private lesson, group class, art camp or workshop, refunds are conditional to your spot being refilled, minus the advertising fees required to fill the spot. If the spot cannot be filled, a refund cannot be given, as that is a lost opportunity for someone else. It is greatly encouraged the student wishing to cancel find someone to replace their spot in order to ensure their refund. In extenuating circumstances, credit towards a future creative experience may be issued. No-shows are considered time used.
