This winter, embrace creativity and connection with Natural Wonders, a 10-week watercolour journey celebrating the beauty of Mother Nature. Whether you’re new to watercolour or rediscovering your creative spark, this course is designed to ground, nurture, and inspire you during the darkest months of the year. In my cozy Salt Spring Island studio, surrounded by plants, warm lighting, and the comfort of a hot beverage, we’ll gather weekly to explore nature’s wonders through watercolour. Using richly pigmented Daniel Smith paints, crafted with earth elements like gemstones, we’ll connect with the natural world in a meaningful and tactile way. Each week, we’ll dive into a different focus of nature to appreciate: Week 1 / Feb 12: Rolling Horizons Week 2 / Feb 19: Cloudscapes Week 3 / Feb 26: Nature at Home - Houseplants Week 4 / Mar 2: Wisdom of Trees Week 5 / Mar 12: Sacred Waters Week 6 / Mar 19: Ocean Treasures Week 7 / Mar 26: Majestic Peaks Week 8 / Apr 2: Sunrises and Sunsets Week 9 / Apr 9: Wildflowers in Bloom Week 10 / Apr 16: Cosmos: Full Moon These in-studio classes are Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm, beginning on February 12th. With only five participants per session, you’ll receive personalized guidance and the chance to connect with like-minded creatives in a safe, supportive space. This course will ease you into watercolour techniques while grounding you in nature’s beauty, bringing warmth, colour, and connection to our winter days. As part of this course, you’ll also be invited to join a private Facebook group, where participants can share their experiences, breakthroughs, and artwork. I’ll pop in weekly to answer questions, share tips, and provide extra inspiration to keep your creativity flowing.
