Service Description

Location: Salt Spring Island, BC August 15 to 16, from 10am until 2pm. Day 1 in-studio, Day 2 "en plein air" This two-part day retreat for 6 lucky adults is all about slowing down and soaking up some beautiful summer moments. You'll learn observational drawing, watercolour techniques, creative compositions, and more. The first part will be in the air-conditioned studio at Merchants Mews' near Ganges, the second part will be "en plein air", a short hike to a quiet local beach in the south end around low tide. Includes all art supplies: - portable watercolour kits - watercolour paper (and sturdy surface for support) - water and small jars for painting - brushes, pencils, art pens, erasers - masking tape Bring: - drinking water, drinks - lunch and snack - sunscreen and hat (2nd day) - sturdy walking shoes or sandals (2nd day) - your preferred watercolour journal and paints (optional) Booking is also available through etransfer to daina@oceanartstudio.ca (please confirm space reservation prior to sending payment +GST)
