A Love Affair With Colour

Service Description

A 6-Week Guide to falling in love with the sensual language of Colour through watercolours. In this playful series, we will discover how each colour intermingles with our sensory experiences as we delve in to elements of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. Only 4 spots left. Beginners welcome. Ages 13+ All materials are provided. Simply show up to this high vibrational space with an open mind, and a willingness to let go. Summer Classes: Tuesday afternoons, 4-6pm July 11 / Red, of Earth and Presence July 18 / Orange, of Water and Pleasure July 25 / Yellow, of Fire and Joy August 1 / Green, of Air and Love August 8 / Blue, of Ether and Clarity August 15 / Violet, of Light and Wisdom From influencing emotions to harmonizing chakras, colour communicates in whispers with our psyche every day. Savour the richness of each colour in all its natural glory as we become attuned to each. This workshop emphasizes the fluid, sensual expression of richly pigmented watercolour paints as we honour Mother Earth's treasures: flower blossoms, plants, crystals, and more. Each class will begin with a brief guided meditation as we ground our energy using the frequency of sound connected to that chakra. Guests are welcome to bring an object or flower that resonates with them to share with the class. The fundamentals of observational drawing will be touched upon from a personal documentary perspective, in simple form to encapsulate colour. All levels of practice are welcome and supported here. The intention is to release limiting beliefs (that are not ours to hold; often projected on to us by others) so we may move forward with more ease in our lives. The beauty of watercolour is twofold: it is compact enough to take it anywhere, and, like love and life, it teaches you the balance between control and letting go. *A 7th elective class will be announced during the series* Coming Together, Designing our Inner Garden through Collage & Intention: Bring your paintings from the first 6 classes to this last one as we unify them into a special artwork that celebrates your new love affair with colour! A note to those who wish to take this class but the dates/times aren't aligning with your schedule. Please email me with your preferences. If 5 people align, I will offer a second class. This may be the last time I offer this class in person, so I would love to share the joy and connection with you!

Cancelation Policy

Art Lessons & Classes: To reschedule a private lesson, please contact Daina with at least 24 hours notice. For cancellations with regards to a private lesson, group class, art camp or workshop, refunds are conditional to your spot being refilled, minus the rush last minute advertising fees required to fill your spot -$100). If the spot cannot be filled, a refund cannot be given, as that is a lost opportunity for someone else. It is greatly encouraged the student wishing to cancel find someone to replace their spot in order to ensure their refund. In extreme circumstances, credit towards a future creative experience may be issued. No-shows are considered time used. Life Coaching: For coaching appointments, notification to reschedule is required 24 hrs in advance. No refunds for missed appointments without 24 hr notice. Thank you for your understanding.
